Your Luggage: From Check-In to Destination

Ever wonder where your luggage goes after you check in at the airport? Your luggage is sent on a journey through miles and miles of conveyor before it even reaches your plane. One of your bag’s first stops is through 3D scanners where the scanner takes images to make sure your luggage is safe to travel. Based on the destination tag your bag is automatically sorted and delivered to the airline personnel by flight for loading onto the airplane.

With the Super Bowl taking place in Phoenix, Arizona, our Elite Line Services (ELS) maintenance team at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) has been busy making sure everything is running properly throughout the airport. Sky Harbor serves more than 100,000 passenger with more than 1,200 flights per day on an average day.
